A Few Lines From the President
Thanks for taking a look at our October newsletter. If you haven’t been out enjoying the amazing, albeit dry, weather we are having there is still time to get out and do some fishing.Unfortunately, we are still unable to hold a regular meeting again this month due to the Covid situation. The board has been meeting via Zoom and we continue to make progress with chapter business and projects. With the lack of regular meetings, the board has decided to hold a virtual chapter meeting in November in lieu of our annual Flies and Lies meeting. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 17th at 7PM so please put it on your calendar. Deacon Aspinwall and Doug Camp have some very entertaining presentations planned so please try to join us.

The chapter normally holds elections in October but with the social distancing measures in place and cancellation of the October regular meeting our by-laws allow us to delay the elections until March. National Trout Unlimited has changed the fiscal year calendar to April 1st through March 31st and this will allow us to align our elections with the national organization’s fiscal year. On that note, if you have any interest in serving on our board of directors please think about it in these upcoming months and consider joining us. Those of us that have served in the same positions for many years would be very grateful! You get to work with some great folks and we always have some fun at our board meetings.

I hope to “see” all of you at our November virtual meeting. Please join us and help make this experimental meeting a success!

Thank you for your support and stay safe out there!

Mark
