Stan Price, the SLV coordinator of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF), is continuing fly-tying classes and is starting rod-building and fly-casting classes for veterans.  SLV TU members are invited to help, especially with fly-tying and fly-casting.  Darrell Lewis, an experienced rod builder, has graciously agreed to lead the rod building classes.  Five-six mentors (for each class) are needed to help coach and assist disabled veterans in tying the flies  and casting rods.  The volunteer mentors need only bring themselves.  All equipment, materials, and lunch are supplied by PHWFF.  You can participate in as few or as many sessions as you’d like.

The schedule is listed below.  Classes are held at the SLV Health Education/Conference Center, 1921 Main Street, Alamosa, CO.   If you can help, please contact Stan as soon as you can at cwo5price@hotmail.com or 432-386-0117 with your name and the dates you can help, so he can take care of the logistics.  Note:  The last two sessions, which involve fly casting, will be held at the Alamosa Family Recreation Center, 2222 Old Sanford Road, Alamosa, CO.
