Conejos River Brown

The first brown trout were stocked in Colorado more than a century ago. Although they are not native, they do well and in most of our local waters consequently, frequent stocking isn’t required. ¬†Three of the largest watersheds in or near the San Luis Valley; the Rio Grande, Arkansas and Conejos, plus their headwater tributary streams foster abundant populations of this great sport fish.
