Welcome to our March newsletter. I hope this finds everyone well in these strange times of COVID-19. Things seem to change daily or even hourly and it is tough to keep up with it. Our chapter is doing its best to keep up with the changing events.
National Trout Unlimited has just prohibited all indoor TU events and meetings for 30 days. The SLV Trout Unlimited Board of Directors had already decided to cancel our March meeting and we have now decided it is necessary to cancel the Annual Fundraiser Auction scheduled for May 2nd. We hope to reschedule the auction for later in the year and will let you know if and when that happens.
A note about our auction and the generous donors who have faithfully supported and helped us for years. Many small businesses in our area are negatively impacted by COVID-19 precautions. Please keep them in mind when shopping for supplies and services; they can sure use our support now!
We all need to be practicing social distancing so I can’t think of a better way than getting out on a river with a fly rod. The rivers are really starting to open up so there are some good opportunities and they are only going to get better. We all might as well make the best of it and go fishing!
Although we are not meeting this month the chapter board members continue to communicate via email to keep up with the status of projects and plans for summer workdays and events.
SLV Trout Unlimited values each and every one of our members and supporters. Please do your best to stay healthy and safe!
Thank you for supporting SLV Trout Unlimited!
